6thNov 2017: Chandrakant Patil held a review meeting with the PWD officials for the state-level pothole free program at Satara.
PWD Minister Chandrakant Patil stated that there are 80 work units assigned to Satara for making the roads pothole free.He instructed the officials to make sure all the work is completed by 15th December. Shweta Singhal (Collector & District Magistrate), Sahebrao Gaikwad (Additional District Deputy Collector), Pravin Kide (Chief Engineer), Sambhaji Mane (Superintendent Engineer) and S.D.Sonawane (Executive Engineer) were present at the meeting.
Additionally, the PWD engineers were instructed to submit the daily report on pothole work to the ministry. He assured, that the pothole work at the state highway will be completed by 30th November and the national highway by 15th December. The National highway and state roads in Satara stretch up to 3,339 km. Out of this, 718 km of pothole work has been completed till 15th November, stated the Superintendent Engineer of Satara Sambhaji Mane.
