The people of Jalgaon have a reason to enjoy as their long-awaited dream of air-services will kick-start from 23rd December. “The first Air Deccan flight will take off from Jalgaon to Mumbai on 23rd December”, said the Revenue & PWD Minister Chandrakant Patil. To make affordable air services available for common people, the Central Government has launched a new Scheme called “UDAN”. It aims to make air travel affordable and improve the connectivity among the important cities of the country.
This Scheme was proposed to start services in ten cities out of which Jalgaon has been included in the first phase. Air Deccan has taken initiative in this scheme. Central & State government has taken all the required steps on the senior-most level to effectively implement the service. This air-service will make travel smooth for the people of Jalgaon.
Except for Monday, this air-service from Jalgaon to Mumbai will run every day between Mumbai-Nashik and Mumbai-Jalgaon. Every day a flight will take off from Mumbai to Jalgaon and would land at 09:10 am in Jalgaon every Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday the flight will take off from Jalgaon to Mumbai, it will reach to Mumbai at 12.45 pm. All Thursday, Friday & Saturday the flight will take off from Mumbai to Jalgaon.
This Air Deccan flight is of 19 seaters Beechcraft 1900D aircraft, primarily designed as a regional airliner. The journey will take time between 1 and half hour.
