Natural Farming is an Excellent Alternative to Reduce the Expenses of Farming

For the overall development of agriculture, to reduce the problems associated with farming and to minimize the farming costs, the significant alternative is ‘Zero budget natural farming and poison-free farming’. This opinion is shared by Revenue, Agriculture, Relief, and Rehabilitation Minister Mr Chandrakant Patil.

Mr Patil was talking during the training camp on the topic–’Zero budget natural farming and poison-free farming’ organized by Sri Sai Baba Sansthan trust. Other attendees for this event were president of Shri Saibaba Sansthan trust Dr Suresh Haware, vice-president Chandrasekhar Kadam, Khushi Rushi Padmashree Subhash Palekar, the chief working authority of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Rubal Agrawal, Deputy Collector Dhananjay Nikam and Manoj Ghode Patil.

Revenue Minister Mr Patil said that farming is a central aspect of the development, but today agriculture is suffering from various problems. The government is committed to solving these problems. It is necessary to create maximum employment opportunities for agriculture and the State Government is committed to this. Farmers are trying innovative experiments with reference to farming in our country and definitely, this is a matter of pride for our nation and the state. To get the latest information on different schemes of the Agricultural Department and also to benefit the farmers, the authorities of the Agricultural Department should pay attention, carefully. It is required to improve the prestige of the Agricultural Department. The State Government is ready to provide training programs for officers for this purpose.

It is necessary that youth should take an interest in farming and choose to farm. Today the land is badly damaged due to the use of different chemical fertilizers and medicines used in agriculture. Therefore, natural farming is an excellent alternative to get the maximum income and retaining the quality of the land. The government has implemented four agricultural schemes and many farmers are the beneficiaries of these schemes. Being a farmer, I am aware of the problems faced by the farmers. Today, few districts in Maharashtra are facing a scarcity situation and orders are issued for the crop detailing (Panchnama). The State Government is always committed to the overall development of farmers in Maharashtra.

In this event, he also lauded the role of Mr Palekar’s agricultural achievements. Many farmers and citizens were present for the event.
