Akshay Kumar Donates Rs 25000 To 103 Families of Martyred Jawan as Diwali Gift

Best way to Celebrate Diwali is to spread happiness in people’s lives and our Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has proved it by donating Rs 25000 each to 103 families of Martyred Jawans for the education of their children.

 

Chandrakant Patil along with Sanjay Mohite (Superintendent of Police) and Vishwas Nangare Patil (Special Inspector General of Police, Kolhapur) thought of sending sweets to the families of Martyrs on Diwali. 103 Families belonging to Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Pune (rural) and Solapur (rural) region were listed out. When Akshay Kumar came to know about this, he also decided to join this initiative and contributed by sending sweets and cheques of 25000 to each family with a signed letter.

 

Approximately 39 applications belong to the Kolhapur District. Meanwhile, the distribution of Cheques has been started. Chandrakant Patil along with senior Police officers visited Dilip Sankpal (49 years) and Suresh Vitthal Jadhav (44). Both police officers died due to heart failure.

Akshay Kumar even interacted with one of the family members of Suresh Vitthal Jadhav through the phone. In the enclosed letter, he wrote, “We all are proud of your family member for his sacrifice to the nation. I know you are missing your loved ones on this Diwali festival. However, I request you to start the New Year with courage. I wish to offer sweets and a small gift for the children to buy books. Please accept them with love.”
