Devendra Fadnavis (CM of Maharashtra) along with Chandrakant Patil (Revenue Minister) conducted a meeting with the senior bureaucrats to discuss the implementation of the Farmer Debt Waiver. Deeming it a Mission Mode Project, Fadnavis has placed a strong emphasis on properly functioning biometric machines and speeding up the form filing process.
It was attended by Dilip Kamble (Minister of State for Relief & Rehabilitation), Praveen Singh Pardeshi (Upper Chief Secretary), S. S. Sandhu (Upper Chief Secretary – Co-operative department), Medha Gadgil (Upper Chief Secretary – Relief & Rehabilitation), D. K. Jain (Upper Chief Secretary – Finance ), Vijay Kumar Gautam (Principal Secretary – Information Technology ), Manu Kumar Shrivastav (Principal Secretary – Revenue department ), Vijay Kumar (Principal Secretary – Agriculture), I S. Chahal (Principal Secretary- Water Resources Department), and C. A. Birajdar (Secretary of Water Resources Department).
Subhash Deshmukh (Co-operative Minister – Pune), Pandurang Phundkar (Agriculture Minister – Buldhana), Madan Yerawar (Guardian minister – Yavatmal) and various District Collectors and Chief Executive Officers witnessed the meeting via video conferencing.

Charges for Farm waiver Application Form is Rs 10. If the case of any service centres demanding more money for the same, strict action would be taken, resulting in license termination of the offender.
Fadnavis analyzed the crop and water situation of districts with less rain fall and provided measures to be taken.
